In the sermon today, our pastor talked about the dangers of drifting away from our faith slowly over time. Over the next several weeks, our community will be preparing for the upcoming men’s walk in hopeful expectation of how God will move in the hearts of the pilgrims during their upcoming weekend. Please join me as we pray for the team and pilgrims that they may hold on tightly to their faith and resist worldly distractions moving them away from God’s plan for their lives.
Our gathering this month will be held on Saturday, 10/17 at Chanco on the James in conjunction with Candlelight for the Men’s Walk R-147. Note that we will not be serving food. Candlelight activities will start around 7:00 pm in the Dining Hall. Please sign placemats when you arrive. Fellowship, worship and communion will begin promptly at 8:00 pm with Candlelight to follow. Please park around the dining facility and please be mindful that you will need to be especially quiet as you go to the dining hall since the pilgrims will be close by.
As our Fall men's walk team (R-147) continues teaming, please pray for them as they finish preparations for their weekend which will be held October 15-18, 2026. There are still slots on the prayer wheel so please consider signing up for time(s) at the following link:
The Spring women's walk team (R-148) is currently forming. Please prayerfully consider participating on either the inside or outside team. The link to the team application can be found below. The women’s walk will be held April 22-25, 2027.
We need pilgrims so please send in those applications as soon as they can be completed. Our Walk to Emmaus weekends can host up to 20 pilgrims each so please prayerfully consider sponsoring someone for this life-changing weekend.
