The SD is selected by the Board of Directors, with the recommendation of the Community Spiritual Director, and is responsible to the Board as the spiritual leader of the event. As with the Lay Director, the Spiritual Director must have sufficient experience, training, and ability to fulfill the role. Assistant Spiritual Directors (ASDs) are selected by the Team Selection Committee and the Community Spiritual Director. Clergy team members are expected to attend all team meetings and to preview their talks before the team. Specific team meetings that must be missed shall be coordinated with the Head Spiritual Director and Lay Director. The HSD and at least one ASD must commit to participate throughout the entire event to minister to the Pilgrims and Team. The cost for each team member, clergy and laity, to serve on a Face to Face Encounter currently is $100.00.
