Due to potential conflicts in finding individuals to serve as the Board Representative on teams, the Richmond Emmaus Board has voted to make the following change to our bylaws. Appendix I, Section 5 [“Board Representative (BR)”] shall now read as follows:
a. A representative from the Board will be designated by the CLD to support the Conference Room Team for each Walk, in accordance with Chapter 5 of the Handbook.
b. The Board Representative will have prior experience as an Emmaus WLD, AWLD, or Head Servant. The person should be a member of the Emmaus Board. If no current Board members are available, the Board will seek an eligible candidate from the Community; such candidate shall be approved by simple majority of the Board. The individual will become a non-voting member of the Emmaus Board while serving in that position.
